General Orientation
The General Orientation course is designed to provide basic historic and structural information concerning Special Olympics as a world wide organization. Information regarding Special Olympics Illinois specifically is also included.
Areas covered include:
- Mission and philosophy
- Organizational structure
- Policies and procedures
- Sports and programs offered
- Future trends in Special Olympics
This course is a prerequisite for other coaching courses and is required for certification.
