Polar Plunge - How to Raise Money
HOW TO RAISE $75 IN A WEEK
Day 1: Register via our online registration site (available no later than Thanksgiving). Create your own personal fundraising page.
Day 2: Ask your best friend or significant other = $15
Day 3: Ask a relative for $10
Day 4: Ask two friends for $5 each = $10
Day 5: Ask two co-workers or teachers for $10 each = $20
Day 6: Ask two neighbors for $5 each = $10
Day 7: Your personal contribution of $10 and celebrate your accomplishment = TOTAL $75
HOW TO RAISE $500 IN A WEEK
Day 1: Register via our online registration site (available no later than Thanksgiving). Create your own personal fundraising page.
Day 2: Email friends and family to let them know they can donate over the secure online donation site.
Day 3: Ten of your contacts respond and donate $25 each = $250
Day 4: Five more people donate $20 = $100
Day 5: Email friends and family again – you’re almost there!
Day 6: Ten more people donate $10 = $100
Day 7: Add your own personal donation of $50 and you’re there = TOTAL $500
Does Your Company Match Funds?
This is one way to raise even more money for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. Check to see if your company or organization matches funds that you raise. In many cases a company match can put your fundraising goal over the top. If you have questions regarding matching funrs, contact Becky Lipp at 800-394-0562.
