Belleville Resident Joins Special Olympics Illinois Board of Directors


 

Chad M. Rollins of Belleville has joined the Special Olympics Illinois Board of Directors and will serve on the Area Management Committee.

Rollins is the Assistant Executive Director of William M. BeDell Achievement and Resource Center (ARC) in Wood River, where more than 60 clients participate in Special Olympics. BeDell ARC provides services to people with developmental disabilities ages 3- 22 through the school systems, plus hosting a developmental training program, home-based support, and respite and residential services.

His past experience includes working in administration at several organizations that support people with intellectual disabilities in St. Louis, Wood River, Swansea and Quincy. Rollins has held leadership positions with several organizations that focus on serving the disability community from 2001-2008.

Rollins received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1992 and  master’s degree from Lindenwood University in Bellville in 2007. He is also a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and was a Rotary member at Belleville West from 2005-2009, serving as secretary from 2007-2008.
