More than 600 athletes (List of athletes expected to compete)

  • 26 slow-pitch softball teams who advanced from district play
  • 6 tee-ball teams
  • 46 athletes competing in softball individual skills competition
  • 30 athletes competing in 5-hole golf
  • 30 athletes competing in 9-hole golf
  • 32 athletes competing in Unified Golf 9-hole aggregate team play*
  • 75 athletes competing in golf individual skills competition
  • 8 Young Athletes competing in either golf skills or softball skills competition
    *Special Olympics Unified Sports combine equal numbers of athletes with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team


Opening Ceremonies:

6:15 – 7 p.m. Saturday at Central Park, downtown Decatur



10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday: slow-pitch and tee-ball
10 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday: Young Athletes individual skills
10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Saturday: individual skills competition
8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday: slow-pitch and tee-ball

9 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday: 9-hole and Unified Golf 9-hole (tee times)
10:20 – 11:40 a.m. Saturday: 5-hole golf (tee times)

9 – 10:30 a.m. Sunday 9-hole and Unified Golf 9-hole (tee times)
