In an ongoing attempt to make training and information more accessible, Special Olympics Illinois is now offering the General Orientation Video online. The General Orientation presentation covers the history, structure, mission and unique policies of Special Olympics.
General Orientation is designed to serve as an introduction to Special Olympics. It is a required training and prerequisite for coaches attending a sport specific training school for certification. To start your General Orientation session, please watch the video and answer the 10 questions on the page. Then complete the general information section at the bottom of the webpage, so your volunteer record reflects completion of the General Orientation Training. Coaches seeking sport certification need to complete the General Orientation Training only one time during their career with SOILL.
Upon completion, we invite you to navigate further throughout our website for more specific information on all of our initiatives including but not limited to: sports, health, education, community, and athlete leadership.
