The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) is the single largest year-round fundraising movement benefiting Special Olympics Illinois (SOILL). Every year, law enforcement personnel across the state dedicate countless hours to help raise funds and awareness for the 23,000 traditional athletes and more than 14,000 Young Athletes participating across Illinois. Traditionally the week leading up to Summer Games, law enforcement personnel across the state would carry the Flame of Hope® nearly 1,500 miles to its final destination – the Opening Ceremony of Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games.
The Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run Intrastate Relay will be held in a hybrid format the week of June 21st in conjunction with the 2021 Special Olympics Illinois Virtual Summer Games.

Raise Torch Run Funds:
LETR volunteers participating in an in-person Torch Run who wish to raise funds around their efforts online may do so by signing up as a Participant Only for the Virtual Torch Run. Use promo code LETR during the check-out process to waive the $20 registration fee. Please note, individuals who use the promo code to register will not receive the Virtual Torch Run medal.
After registering, customize your fundraising page to include information regarding your in-person Torch Run efforts and share your efforts on social media and/or via email with family and friends. All online donations should be made through this Donor Drive page. DO NOT ADD a donate button on any social media platform as those funds will not count towards your LETR department total.
