2021 Dunkin’ Partnership
2021 marks the 18th Anniversary of the Dunkin’ partnership with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois. This event has been a huge success over the years; in fact, more than $5.75 million has been raised in Illinois during this great partnership!
This year’s Coffee for Champions event is scheduled for Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. Law enforcement officers will be at more than 300 Dunkin’ location across the state to rally the communities in support of their local Special Olympics athletes.
Each guest who makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut. Guests who donate $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee. This year’s goal is to raise more than $870,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois!

Athlete Volunteers Needed
With more than 280 Coffee for Champions events taking place the morning of August 20th, we need you help! Special Olympics Illinois is looking for SO Athletes and Families to volunteer alongside our officers at the more than 280 locations statewide. Volunteers are needed specifically from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. the morning of the event. If you are available to help, please visit https://dunkincoffeeforchampions.com/ for a list of locations. No need to sign up! Just stop by your participating location and let the officers know you are a Special Olympics athlete and would like to help! Remember – wear your Special Olympics Illinois gear and medals.

Important Reminder: All outreach for radio, television or print media support must be cleared through Special Olympics Illinois and Dunkin’. Mascot requests must also be filtered through Dunkin’ in the Chicagoland area. Send all media and mascot requests to Sandy Nash at email@example.com.

Participating Department Post-Event Procedure
All department liaisons are required to submit their day of total to Special Olympics Illinois by 3:30 p.m. the day of the event. Totals should include all funds raised (general donations, merchandise sales, raffle tickets, etc.) Totals can be reported online by clicking the button below. You can also email, firstname.lastname@example.org or text (618-974-9010) your total to Sandy Nash. Please be sure to include your name, department and total in your message. Finally, totals can be called into Special Olympics Illinois at 309-888-2568.
