LETR Truck Convoy
What is the Truck Convoy?
The Truck Convoy is a celebration of the trucking industry and its support for Special Olympics. What started as a local event in Florida in 2001, the event has evolved into an international movement with Convoys in over 24 states and 4 provinces annually.
The Illinois Convoy began in Tinley Park in 2004 and has since grown to include two additional locations: Hoffman Estates and Troy, IL. 2019 was a record year for the Illinois Truck Convoys with 285 trucks participating between the three events and raising more than $160,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. Since 2004, more than 1,175 trucks have participated in Illinois and raised more than $700,000 for the athletes!
The Troy Truck Convoy, presented by CIT Trucks and Cummins, will take place the evening of Saturday, September 19 at CIT Trucks located at 2120 Liebler Dr. Due to safety concerns regarding COVID-19, the 2020 Troy Truck Convoy will be held in a touchless format.
All participants are encouraged to register on line prior to the event. Participants will be asked to remain with their vehicles once they arrive. Volunteers will come to you to check you in and deliver your goody bags. Check-in will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. The Convoy will begin its journey at 6:30 p.m.
Registration is $100 per truck and includes an official Convoy goody bag (while supplies last) and a box meal. Additional guests may purchase meals for $10 per person the day of the event. Children under 10 and all Special Olympics athletes in attendance will receive free admission and meal.
