COVID Procedures

Unless a venue has specific COVID protocols in place, Special Olympics Illinois is following Illinois Department of Public Health and CDC COVID protocols and guidelines.  Please refer to event specific information or website page (if applicable) to determine if the venue has any specific COVID protocols. 

Special Olympics Illinois is committed to providing the best athlete, volunteer, coach and supporter environment possible.  While we are excited to resume in-person events, the health and well-being of our constituents remains our top priority.  All of our in person events follow the COVID-19 recommended IDPH and CDC guidelines.

What is The All Community Events world’s Largest Corn Maze 5K?

Come out and help All Community Events and Special Olympics Illinois put on a 5k in the worlds largest corn maze. Below will see the jobs available for the day. You will be assigned and trained by All Community Events staff.

Volunteer Information

Volunteer Jobs

Volunteers will more than likely work more than one job throughout the event.

Registration Assistant – Volunteers will help with the process of participants checking in. They will check if the participant is registered by last name and if so then give them their race materials. Some volunteers will also assist with the process of new participants signing up the day of the race.

Course Marshal – Course marshals will be placed on the course (in pairs of two minimum) and help direct the participants so they run the correct way. Here we ask the volunteers to be as enthusiastic as possible encouraging the runners to have a good time.

Water Station – Volunteers assigned to the water station will fill up cups of water and help distribute them to passing participants.

Volunteers should sign-in upon arrival to keep track of volunteers in attendance. Please write SOILL or Special Olympics Illinois next to your name.

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Check the forecast prior to arrival of the event.

Volunteers are there not only to help but to have fun!
