Southern Illinois Bass Busters is proud to host the 2nd annual Buddy Bass Tournament benefiting Special Olympics Illinois.
Proceeds will support the Region K Area of Special Olympics Illinois which serves more than 1,600 athletes with developmental disabilities in the 24 counties of southern Illinois.
The Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge assesses a recreational fee. All boats and vehicles on refuge property are required to display the representative decal. There are varied rates according to time periods for a decal. For more information about the decals call 618-997-3344 ext. 334.
Crab Orchard Lake, located in the Crab Orchard Refuge, is a 7,000 acre impoundment. It has a maximum width of one mile, maximum depth of 30 feet, and 121 miles of shoreline.
PRE-TOURNAMENT MEETING:
All teams must have a representative attend the kickoff meeting at 6:30 PM, on Friday, June 4 at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 213 N 16th St. in Herrin, IL. Any team not represented at the kick-off meeting will be automatically disqualified and the team entry fee shall be forfeited.
STARTING PROCEDURE:
There will be flight starts. Starting positions and further details will be discussed at the pre-tournament meeting. Pre-registered team starting position will be determined by draw. Late entries will be assigned a number as they enter.
HONORS AND AWARDS:
Honors and awards will be presented immediately after the final weight tally on Saturday, June 5. Total purse will not be less than $15,000, based upon the
200 entries. First place would be approximately $7,000 based on 200 teams. Top 5 teams will receive cash and / or trophies.
