Unified Rocket League Tournament

Welcome to the second Special Olympics Illinois Winter eSports League! Beginning February 1, be apart of a month-long eSports tournament featuring three different eSports games! Pick one or pick them all and put your gaming skills to the test as Illinois athletes & Unified Partners play with and against one another every week!

Rocket League is a sport-based video game, developed by Psyonix (it’s “soccer with cars”). It features a competitive game mode based on teamwork and outmaneuvering opponents. Players work with their team to advance the ball down the field, and score goals in their opponents’ net.

2v2 Unified tournament participants will be randomly placed in a single elimination bracket. Matches will be 5 minutes in length; win and move on. The number of matches in each round will depend on the number of participants. At minimum, it will be a best of 3 series for every round except for the final round. The final round will then be a best of 5 series.

Participating athletes can compete in as many opportunities as they please! Each week of competition the Finals will be played on Friday. For Fortnite & Rocket League, daily practice tournaments will be hosted online & available to watch on the Special Olympics Illinois Twitch.

Participation is free of charge. Participating athletes must own the games or have access to the games in order to participate. Copies of these games will not be provided by Special Olympics Illinois.
