What is the Southern Illinois Ducky Derby Dash?
The Southern Illinois Ducky Derby Dash is a signature fundraising event for Special Olympics Illinois.
Join in on the fun on Oct. 4, 2020, at Walker’s Bluff in Carterville, IL. This in person event will have wine tastings and food trucks; kids activities and Ducky Derby souvenirs throughout the day. Don’t miss the performances by the Murphysboro Knights of Columbus #988 band “Nine88”.
The duck race this year will be virtual, but you can watch it either on Region K’s Facebook page or at the festival on a 20 foot screen.
After the race, a Black Diamond Helicopter will bring Splash and our Ducky Derby Ambassador Valerie Densler to the event to announce the winners of the race.
How do I adopt a duck?
You can Adopt a duck for only $5. Get more chances to win by purchasing a Quack Pack (6 ducks for $25), Flock of Ducks (24 ducks for $100) or Ducky Derby Donor (60 ducks for $250)!
