Young Professionals Board

What is the Young Professionals Board?

The Chicago Young Professionals Board (YPB) of Special Olympics Illinois is dedicated to raising community awareness of Special Olympics programs through events, volunteer work, and fundraising efforts.

YPB 1 WebYPB plans and hosts many events throughout the year, to raise funds to support the athletes who participate with Special Olympics Illinois. In addition, YPB members volunteer at Special Olympics competitions and tournaments, while also enabling young professionals to build networks of like-minded individuals.

YPB holds monthly meetings to discuss and plan upcoming fundraisers and events and review volunteer opportunities within Special Olympics Illinois.

Volunteer Opportunities

YPB members are encouraged to volunteer throughout the year. As a board, it’s a great way for members to get to know each other better and to spend time with the athletes we work hard to help support.
