What is Five-O at the Dirty O

Five-O at the Dirty O is a Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraising event benefiting Special Olympics Illinois. It is a stock car race in which law enforcement officers race stock vehicles decked out in their department’s patrol colors and decals! The event takes place at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet.

Each officer must raise a minimum of $500 in donations to participate. The winning officer not only will receive ultimate bragging rights as the fastest cop in town but will be presented with the trophy.

2017 Event Recap

In 2017, 15 drivers representing 13 different law enforcement agencies raced for the Fastest Cop in Town title. Jerry Lehmach from Lemont Police Department was the winner of the race.  Oak Forest PD was our top fundraising department raising $20,100 for the athletes.  Overall, this event raised $75,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois!
