LETR Letter Campaign
Support Illinois LETR Officers Today!
It’s been an interesting 2020, to say the least, in the world of Special Olympics Illinois and the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR). Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been unable to make meaningful memories of being able to give out medals, high-fives and hugs at our sporting competitions. Members of the Illinois LETR miss you as much as you miss them! Now, more than ever, our Torch Run Officers need your support and would love to hear from you. So, we’re asking for your help! We’re asking athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters to write a one page letter (please only use one side) and mail it to us so we can pass it along and post it on our social media channels! Let’s show members of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run that they have your support and that you are thinking about them during this time when we can’t be together.
Here’s What You Need To Do!
- Write a one page letter to a Torch Run Officer or Department (please use one side only)
- Mail your letter to our State Headquarters:
Torch Run Letter Campaign
Special Olympics Illinois
605 E. Willow St.
Normal, IL 61761
3. Upload your information below, including a photo of you with your medals, or at a competition/fundraiser or even with your favorite Special Olympics or Torch Run shirt
4. Let us do the rest. We will highlight your stories on all our social media platforms and make sure your letter gets to the department or Torch Run Officer you address in your letter. Our social media posts will include your photo and a picture of your letter (please only write on one-side).
Let’s rally around the Officers of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run! We look forward to hear from many of you on this initiative. If you have any questions feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
