Statewide programmatic support

Special Olympics Illinois Outreach Committee has secured funding from the SOI Foundation Board for a $10,000.00 grant. These funds will be available to provide statewide programmatic support to new or further developing agencies.

How: An application for assistance will be housed on the Special Olympics Illinois website for agencies to complete. Once the application is received, a team (TBD) will meet to determine which applications are eligible for funding. When an agency is chosen,
funds would be awarded, and the agency will be required to provide feedback via a link on the SOILL website.

Who: New agencies to SOILL or teams that are looking for support to increase programmatic involvement.

Why: SOILL Strategic Plan has an emphasis on outreach to new agencies and increased involvement for existing agencies. This also feeds into the overall organization priorities of increasing the number of athletes served. Financial barriers should not be the explanation for non-participation.
