Region B provides programming for people in the counties of Lake McHenry and North Suburban Cook.

There are many opportunities available for you to get involved with Special Olympics including serving as a volunteer or committee member, helping with fundraising or competing as an athlete. 2020 Bingo de Mayo @ Arlington Ale House

B-12! Join the Suburban Young Professionals Board for a night of Bingo to benefit Special Olympics Illinois on Wednesday, May 6 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Each player will be able to play at least 10 rounds, each a different pattern. All ages are welcome! Purchase tickets by April 1 to receive the Early Bird price. Ticket price goes up $5.00 after April 1. All materials will be provided. Each ticket purchased includes one Bingo card for 10 rounds. Attendees will have the opportunity to switch out cards between rounds and purchase additional cards. Tell your friends & family to come out for a good time and to benefit Special Olympics Illlinois. BINGO!!

Arlington Ale House is located along the UP-NW (Union Pacific Northwest) Metra train line. There is also street parking and a parking garage next to Arlington Ale House.

The Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run is excited to team up with Schnucks Grocery chain during the month of August to raise funds and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois.  During this event, law enforcement officers and volunteers will staff merchandise tables at the main entrance of their local Schnucks store. Volunteers will sell LETR merchandise, raffle tickets and collect general donations all to benefit to benefit the 23,000 traditional Special Olympics athletes and nearly 17,000 Young Athletes (ages 2 – 7).

 

Event Times:

All participating departments are asked to staff a LETR table at the main entrance of their local Schnucks during the following business hours:

Friday: 4 PM – 8 PM

Saturday: 10 AM – 6 PM

Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM

Awards: Awards will be presented to athletes on a continuous basis as the division finishes their games. Please ask athletes to stay on their lanes once they have finished bowling.

Meals: Free meals will be provided to registered athletes and coaches that consists of a slice of pizza, chips, cookie, fruit and drink. First shift bowlers may eat after they have completed their bowling, while second shift bowlers must eat prior to bowling. A concession stand is also available for family members and spectators.

Competition: Competition will be offered for region gold medal winners in singles, ramp, doubles and team competition. Athletes bowling in the second shift need to check in by 10:30 am.

Due to facility upgrades, proper ball rolling will be enforced at all bowling events.
Facilities are indicating that “lofting” the ball and other actions that can be considered
unsafe will not be tolerated and are grounds for disqualification.

RAMP BOWLERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN RAMP.

**Ramp bowlers will only bowl 2 games. Gold medal winners qualify for the Special Olympics Illinois State Bowling Tournament in Peoria
