What is Run WITH the Law
Students and youth from the Glenview area are invited to join the Glenview Police Department to Run WITH the law on Friday, May 3rd.
Run WITH the Law is a community event in which students and area youth join forces with their local law enforcement organization to raise awareness of Special Olympics Illinois athletes and their accomplishments. Participants collect donations to run with law enforcement, who will be carrying the Flame of Hope. Run WITH the Law is not a race but a unified run in which law enforcement will lead in a controlled pace.
Check in will be held from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Attea Middle School cafeteria in Glenview. All participants must raise a minimum of $25 and will receive a 2019 Law Enforcement Torch Run t-shirt to wear during the event. The slow run around the track will start at 4:00 p.m. Local police officers will carry the torch and lead the run.
Participants are encouraged to continue to fundraise beyond the $25 minimum. Additional incentive prizes will be offered for those who raise $75 or above.
For questions regarding this event please contact Officer John Good at 847-729-5000 ext. 9149, or Mary Steiger from the PTO at 847-722-7740.
