There are many opportunities available for you to get involved with Special Olympics including serving as a volunteer or committee member, helping with fundraising or competing as an athlete. Row 4 Dough
What is Row 4 Dough?
Special Olympics Illinois introduces ‘Row 4 Dough’, an exercise based fundraiser benefiting the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. Row 4 Dough challenges participants to form a team of ten and be the fastest team to row a combined marathon (26.2 miles) on a row machines across the state!
All rowers must collect a minimum of $50 in donations from family, friends, and co-workers, and team up with 9 other rowers to complete the challenge against other teams. Teams are required to raise a minimum of $500. Each rower to reach the fundraising minimum will receive a Row 4 Dough workout shirt. Further incentives are awarded to rowers who raise $100, $250, and $500.

Special Olympics Illinois is currently in the process of changing its volunteer registration and management software to VolunteerHub. This transition is being implemented by Region, one at a time, to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.

LETR Days Sponsored By Schnucks
The Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run is excited to team up with Schnucks Grocery chain to raise funds and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. During this event, law enforcement officers and volunteers will staff merchandise tables near the main entrance of their local Schnucks store. Volunteers will sell LETR merchandise, raffle tickets and collect general donations all to benefit the 23,000 traditional Special Olympics athletes and nearly 13,000 Young Athletes (ages 2-7).

All departments interested in hosting a LETR Days event at their local Schnucks must complete the below form by 4 p.m. on Friday, August 7.
All participating departments can select which weekend between August 21 and September 6 to host their event. Tables should be staffed with a maximum of two volunteers (18+) during the times below:
- Friday: 4 PM – 8 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM
