Each November, the Special Olympics Illinois State Floor Hockey Tournament brings athletes together for fast-paced competition, showcasing teamwork and skill in this exciting championship event.

Join us in making an impact! Volunteers are the heart of all Special Olympics Illinois events, helping create an unforgettable experience for our athletes. Roles at State Floor Hockey include scorekeeping, distributing awards, team escorts, and more. No experience needed for most roles.

About State Floor Hockey
The State Floor Hockey Tournament brings together more than 425 athletes for fast-paced, championship-level competition. Teams showcase their skills through dynamic play, strategic passing, and coordinated teamwork on the court. This tournament offers an exciting atmosphere for athletes and spectators alike. Fans are encouraged to attend and cheer as teams compete for state titles.

Saturday, November 14
Pre-Competition Activities:
Agency Registration: 8:15 AM – 1:00 PM (Lobby)
Competition:
Team Play: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Individual Skills Competition: 10:00 AM – Noon
Additional Activities:
Opening Ceremony: 8:30 AM (Inside Gym)
Healthy Habits DIY: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the Special Olympics Illinois State Floor Hockey Tournament.
Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony will take place inside the gym on Saturday beginning at 8:30 AM.
