The best way to foster an environment of philanthropy is to start early. By getting young professionals involved in volunteering early on in their career, we can work with them to create lasting change and build a legacy of giving.
What is the Young Professionals Board?
Special Olympics Illinois’ Young Professionals Board (YPB) is an active group of young professionals from all sectors of the business community who work together to advance the mission of Special Olympics Illinois (SOILL). For individuals aging 22-39, these young professionals offer their multi-faceted skill sets, life experience, diverse perspectives, and the passion to make a difference for all individuals with intellectual disabilities.
GET INVOLVED
We support SOILL through fundraising, volunteering, and raising mission awareness by hosting events for fundraising, networking, and socializing across the city.
Volunteer
Make a direct impact by supporting athletes at events, engaging in hands-on service that promote inclusion and empowerment.
Fundraise
Help change lives by organizing creative fundraising efforts, securing sponsorships, and supporting signature events to provide opportunities for athletes to reach their full potential.
Network
Connect with like-minded professionals, community leaders, and industry experts while advancing your leadership skills and making a meaningful difference in the lives of athletes.

Who Can Join the YPB?
Any individual between the ages of 22 – 39 who is passionate about SOILL and interested in being involved long-term with the organization, as well as those looking to have a great time and expand their network.
